Project: ‘Work & Services Induction video’

Brief: This is a 2 min induction video which will be shown to new employees. It is a mix of animation with voice-over and interviews with staff.

For the animation section, we require the voice-over to be clear and easy to understand and for the action to have sound effects added.

For the interviews, some of the recorded audio has background noise and room reverb which needs to be reduced and the dialogue needs to be clear and balanced. There is a bit of mic rustle at 01:01:57 which needs to be removed if possible.

• The general tone is friendly and fun, we want our new recruits to feel welcomed.

• The voice-over and dialogue are the most important elements in the mix.

• The music needs to be present but never overwhelm the voices.

• The sound-design needs to be fun but not cartoonish.

• Only the obvious bits of the animation need sound design, like the cat meow at 01:00:55.

• There is a company logo animation at the end that already has sound design in the edit, please keep this.

The video will be sent to new recruits via an emailed link and will likely be listened to on laptop speakers or headphones.
